From the pristine wilderness of Jo-Mary Lake to the coastal allure of Bar Harbor and the vibrant culture of Southern Maine, Maine offers a tapestry of experiences that's as diverse as it is captivating.

Jo-Mary Lake: Tucked away in Maine's northern wilderness, Jo-Mary Lake is a hidden gem, a sanctuary for those seeking to escape. Surrounded by lush forests, this remote paradise is perfect for nature lovers. Whether you're fishing, kayaking, or hiking the surrounding trails, Jo-Mary Lake promises an authentic wilderness adventure.

For decades, Jo-Mary Lake Campground has been an integral part of our family's story. This tranquil haven has been our escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's where we've gathered around campfires, shared stories under the starlit sky, and forged lasting memories with each passing generation. We get to disconnect from technology and embrace nature. Our family's connection to Jo-Mary Lake runs deep, just like the clear waters that ripple along its shores. From the nostalgic sound of loons calling across the lake to the scent of pine trees in the crisp northern air, every visit feels like a homecoming. Jo-Mary Lake has been the backdrop to countless adventures, and it's a place where the simple joys of fishing, hiking, and bonding with loved ones are cherished above all else. As we return year after year, our connection to this beautiful slice of nature remains unwavering, a tradition passed down through the ages.

Everyone has to have dirty feet camping! Jo-Mary Lake is the best place to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with those you love.

Greenville: Gateway to the North

From Jo-Mary Lake, we journey south to Greenville, a picturesque town on the shores of Moosehead Lake. Known for its friendly atmosphere and proximity to outdoor adventures, Greenville is an ideal base for exploring the North Woods, rafting the Kennebec River, or simply savoring the tranquility of a lakeside sunrise. Also can't forget the amazing food.

Bar Harbor: Coastal Splendor Venture southeast to Bar Harbor, where the rugged beauty of the Acadia National Park meets the charm of a seaside village. Witness the sunrise from Cadillac Mountain, explore the park's intricate trail system, and indulge in world-famous lobster. Bar Harbor is the embodiment of coastal Maine, promising awe-inspiring scenery and unforgettable experiences.

Bar Harbor has so many things to offer. Great vacation for families, couples, or solo travelers.

Southern Maine: A Tapestry of Culture and Coastline Our journey concludes in Southern Maine, where historic towns like Portland and Kennebunkport offer a blend of culture, cuisine, and coastal relaxation. From the Old Port's cobblestone streets to the sandy beaches of the southern coast. Southern Maine, a culinary haven by the sea, is a delightful destination for food enthusiasts and beer aficionados alike. Along the coast, you'll find a cornucopia of seafood shacks serving up the freshest lobster rolls, clam chowder, and oysters you've ever tasted. Venture inland, and you'll discover a thriving craft brewery scene, where local artisans craft small-batch beers that perfectly complement the coastal cuisine. Sip on ales and stouts while basking in the ocean breeze, and then indulge in a gourmet meal prepared with farm-fresh ingredients. Whether you're exploring the historic streets of Portland or the charming villages of Kennebunkport, Southern Maine's culinary landscape is a flavorful journey waiting to be savored.

My husband and I got to enjoy the first Bissel Brothers Private full-service Prix Fixe dinner, in Portland, Maine. It did not disappoint!
